Innovation Forum VI - 2014
Crisis, innovation and transition

1, 2 and 3 October 2014  (Pôle universitaire Léonard De Vinci, Paris la Défense)

Special sessions > « Collaborative services »

Is it another effect of the crisis?

Since 2008 collaborative business models (AirBnB, Blablacar, Uber, The hive which says yes…) are rapidly expanding. They are inspired by the so-called Communitarian Utopia, stimulated by informational capitalism, and descending from social networks. These models have demonstrated their importance disturbing some well-established markets such as the ones of accommodation or transportation activities renewing commercial operations and customer In traditional activities. They are also responsible for major changes in the way companies provide services to their customers (B&You, Darty). They take part in the design of a new way of thinking services, even in the public sector and not-for-profit institutions.

The aim of this special session is to present the new directions in this new organisational model and to host papers allowing to know more about their success factors, their consequences on the market structures and on the underlying innovation process. A peculiar attention will be paid to their legitimacy and to the effect of their implementation on agents’ identity.
